Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available for the remainder of the current school year, running mid-March through the end of the school year. This is a contract role based in a middle school setting located in Stafford, VA, with a caseload of approximately 50 students.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Virginia state licensure for Speech-Language Pathology.
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred.
- Experience working in school environments, ideally with middle school-aged children.
- Strong skills in assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech and language disorders in school-aged populations.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, parents, and other professionals.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct SLP services to students to support their communication needs.
- Conduct evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services.
- Participate in team meetings and communicate progress with teachers and parents.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations including maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards.
This is an on-site position with no remote work options. The role is typically renewed annually due to summer personnel changes, providing a potential opportunity for continued employment beyond the current contract term.
