This position offers a rewarding opportunity to provide speech-language pathology services to middle school students in Woodbridge, VA. The role is a maternity contract lasting from mid-March through the end of the school year, with the potential for renewal due to annual personnel changes. This onsite position requires a dedicated professional to manage a caseload of approximately 50 students at an elementary school setting.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language pathology evaluations and therapy tailored to the needs of students
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers, parents, and other school staff
- Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation including reports and session notes
- Participate in team meetings and parent conferences as needed
Qualifications:
- Valid Virginia license for Speech-Language Pathology
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
- Experience working in a school setting with children at the middle school level
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work onsite full-time and collaborate effectively with education professionals
