A physical therapy opportunity is available in San Juan Capistrano, CA, serving a K-12 school setting through the end of the academic school year. This contract role covers maternity leave and offers a flexible schedule, primarily part-time with the potential for full-time hours. The position is on-site and supports a diverse student population ranging from preschool to high school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide physical therapy services to meet the individualized needs of students within the school setting
- Manage a caseload of approximately 35 students, delivering about 20 billable hours weekly with flexibility to increase hours
- Collaborate with school staff and families to develop and implement therapy plans
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with regulations and school policies
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to support student progress
Qualifications and Experience:
- Masters degree in Physical Therapy required
- Active California Physical Therapy license mandatory
- Prior experience working with pediatric populations in a school environment preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt therapy strategies to a variety of age groups, from preschool to high school
