Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Provide physical therapy services in a K-12 school setting located in Santa Ana, CA, supporting students from preschool through high school during a maternity leave assignment through the end of the school year. This contract position offers flexible hours with a preference for full-time availability (at least 30 hours per week), but part-time candidates with approximately 20 hours per week will also be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver physical therapy evaluations and interventions tailored to student needs across preschool to high school age groups.
- Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress and therapy sessions.
- Manage a caseload of approximately 35 students, with around 20 billable hours weekly that may vary.
- Adhere to all professional standards and licensing requirements while working exclusively on-site.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Physical Therapy.
- Active California Physical Therapist license.
- Experience in school-based physical therapy preferred.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to work on-site full-time or part-time hours depending on scheduling flexibility.
