A school-based contract position is available for a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support K-12 students in Pomona, CA. This role involves providing speech and language therapy services under the supervision of a licensed speech-language pathologist to enhance students' communication skills, ensuring they meet academic and social goals within the school environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting with speech and language assessments and therapy sessions
- Implementing individualized treatment plans designed by licensed speech-language pathologists
- Documenting progress and maintaining accurate student records
- Collaborating with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student success
- Participating in team meetings and professional development as needed
Desired qualifications and experience:
- Completion of required education and credentials for a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant
- Experience working with K-12 students in a school setting preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
