Providing occupational therapy services in an elementary school setting, this part-time position offers an excellent opportunity to support young students' developmental and educational goals. The role requires a licensed Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) with school-based experience, working directly with an elementary caseload in a supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to elementary school students, focusing on fine motor skills, sensory processing, and functional independence.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Monitor student progress and adjust therapy interventions accordingly.
- Attend meetings and maintain documentation in compliance with school district and state requirements.
- Provide onsite services at the school location.
Qualifications:
- Active California COTA license is mandatory.
- Proven school-based occupational therapy experience, preferably in an elementary school setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with educators and families.
- Ability to manage an elementary school caseload independently.
- Availability to work part-time, 20-25 hours per week.
