Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A K-12 onsite Speech Language Pathologist position is available in Flint, MI, supporting primarily Pre-K caseloads. This contract role runs from November 8, 2025, through June 12, 2026, requiring candidates to be comfortable working onsite within the Flint community. Opportunities are also posted for nearby areas including Grand Blanc, Lansing, and Detroit.
Candidates should be licensed Speech Language Pathologists (SLP) in Michigan, with those holding Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred. Clinically Fellowed Year (CFY) individuals may also be considered provided they hold a temporary license and, ideally, have an established supervisor in place. A full 35-hour workweek is expected.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Michigan SLP license, or temporary license for CFYs
- Experience or comfort working with urban populations and understanding challenges faced by urban children
- Ability to identify and recommend appropriate resources for students and families
- Willingness to work onsite throughout the school year contract
- Transcripts from the university degree program will be required for application consideration
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized speech and language therapy services to Pre-K and other K-12 students
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to develop and implement student-centered plans
- Monitor progress and adjust interventions based on student needs
- Provide culturally responsive support and resource referrals to families
