Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Provide physical therapy services in a K-12 school setting in Grand Prairie, TX, on a contract basis through the current school year. This position involves delivering specialized care to a small caseload of students, supporting their physical development and educational success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct physical therapy sessions averaging 20 minutes every other week for approximately 12 students.
- Manage caseload to average around 20 hours per week, increasing to 25 hours to accommodate growth, evaluations, and paperwork.
- Collaborate with school staff, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized therapy plans.
- Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions, progress notes, and required reports in compliance with school district guidelines.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the multidisciplinary approach for student support.
Desired Qualifications:
- Licensed Physical Therapist with experience in pediatric or school-based therapy.
- Familiarity with K-12 educational environments and the unique needs of school-aged children.
- Strong organizational skills to manage caseload and documentation efficiently.
