An opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support students in an elementary school setting in Keller, TX. This contract position is designed to cover a maternity leave, with a focus on serving a lower caseload of moderate to severe students. The role offers a mostly onsite schedule with the flexibility of working one day from home each week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy services to elementary students with moderate to severe needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Track and document student progress while maintaining accurate therapy records.
- Attend team meetings and contribute to a positive educational environment.
- Offer support and guidance to help enhance students' communication abilities.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid certification as an SLP with the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Licensed or eligible to work as an SLP in a school setting.
- Prior experience working with pediatric populations, specifically in elementary school environments.
- Skilled in managing moderate to severe speech and language cases.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach to student care.
Location: Keller, TX (North Keller area)
Schedule: 37.5 hours per week, mostly onsite with one remote workday.
