A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available to support students from Pre-K through 4th grade at an elementary school in Jersey City, NJ. This leave replacement contract runs from ASAP through April, with the exact end date to be determined based on school needs. The role involves working 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday, providing onsite speech and language therapy services.
Key responsibilities include assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech and language disorders in young learners. You will collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and implement evidence-based interventions tailored to each student's needs. Maintaining detailed documentation and progress reports is essential for compliance and student success.
Qualifications and requirements:
- Active New Jersey Speech-Language Pathologist license
- Active New Jersey Educator license
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology
- Experience working with Pre-K to 4th grade student populations
- Must be available to start immediately and hold a New Jersey license valid within the last year for archiving purposes
- Onsite presence required; telepractice options are not permitted in this role
- Ability to manage a caseload without support from SLP Assistants or Speech-Language Pathology Clinical Fellows
