An opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist with certification to provide support in a K-12 school setting in Wilkes Barre, PA. This role offers a contract position through the current school year, with a focus on serving students with a range of needs including autism, emotional disturbance, and multiple disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy services to K-12 students with varying communication needs.
- Manage a caseload that includes autistic, emotional disturbance, and multiple disabling conditions.
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Monitor student progress and adjust therapy goals as appropriate.
- Maintain documentation and compliance with school district policies.
Qualifications:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology Certification (CCC-SLP) required.
- Experience working with school-aged children, particularly those with autism and emotional disturbances, is preferred.
- Familiarity with handling a near-capacity caseload.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work onsite full-time during regular school hours (35 hours/week).
