A K-12 school in Hazleton, PA, is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide onsite FMLA coverage from January 5, 2026, through approximately April 3, 2026. This contract position is ideal for therapists with a valid SLP-CCC and experience in school settings who are ready to manage a substantial caseload supporting students speech and language development.
Location: Hazleton, PA
Duration: January 5, 2026 April 3, 2026 (tentative based on returning staff)
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Caseload: Approximately 60 students during the contract period
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive speech-language therapy services to K-12 students, addressing diverse communication needs.
- Assess, develop, and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in coordination with educators and families.
- Maintain detailed documentation, progress notes, and compliance with school and district guidelines.
- Collaborate effectively with education and clinical teams to promote students academic and social success.
- Provide coverage to support the district's current SLP during medical leave.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC strongly preferred).
- Experience working with K-12 students in a school environment.
