A specialized opportunity is available for two Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to provide essential services within a K-12 school setting in the Eugene, OR area. These positions serve diverse educational environments including a behaviorally specialized school and several rural schools in the cooperative. This contract runs through June 12, 2026, offering a meaningful way to support students with complex communication needs.
Location: Eugene, OR
Duration: ASAP through June 12, 2026
Schedule: 37.5 hours per week (Wednesdays are early release)
Setting: On-site only
Caseload Highlights:
- Provide SLP support in a specialized behavior school serving students with the most severe behavioral challenges in the county (K-8).
- Deliver services across rural schools within the cooperative, addressing varied speech and language needs.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology certification required.
- Experience working with students demonstrating significant behavioral challenges is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with school-based SLP service delivery models including transitions support and cooperative environments.
- Strong collaborative skills to work alongside educators and multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in children from kindergarten through grade 12.
- Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs, especially within a high behavioral needs setting.
- Engage with school staff and families to support student progress and educational goals.
- Maintain detailed documentation and compliance with school district standards.
