A K-12 school in Vallejo, CA is seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide support throughout the academic year under a contract position. This role requires expertise in evaluating, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, and communication disorders for a diverse student population from kindergarten through 12th grade.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for eligible students.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs.
- Provide direct therapy services to improve articulation, fluency, voice, and language skills.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support student progress.
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as necessary.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines.
Desired Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA.
- Licensed or credentialed as an SLP for school settings.
- Demonstrated experience working with K-12 students in school environments.
- Strong knowledge of school-based speech-language pathology practices.
- Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
