An opportunity is available for a skilled Occupational Therapist to support students in a K-12 school setting in Fayetteville, NC. This contract position is for the current school year (CSY) and involves working collaboratively with educators and support staff to enhance student outcomes through targeted occupational therapy interventions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of students occupational therapy needs within the school environment.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to support students functional performance in academic and daily activities.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to integrate therapeutic strategies into classroom routines.
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with school and legal requirements.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to contribute to individualized education programs (IEPs).
Qualifications and Experience:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist with experience in school-based settings.
- Knowledge of pediatric therapy techniques and educational programming.
- Ability to work effectively with children ages 5-18 across diverse abilities.
- Strong communication skills and team-oriented approach.
- Familiarity with K-12 educational systems and related regulations.
