A K-12 school in Raeford, NC is seeking a skilled occupational therapist to provide comprehensive therapy services throughout the academic year on a contractual basis. This role focuses on supporting students' developmental, sensory, and motor needs within the school setting to enhance their educational experience and promote independence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized occupational therapy evaluations and interventions tailored to students' specific educational goals.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Utilize evidence-based practices to support students fine motor skills, sensory processing, and adaptive functioning.
- Document therapy progress and communicate regularly with the educational team.
- Provide consultative services and classroom strategies to enhance student participation and success.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Licensed occupational therapist with state certification and credentials.
- Experience working in school-based or educational settings, supporting K-12 students.
- Strong understanding of educational policies, IEP processes, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage with students, families, and staff effectively.
