Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity is available for an Occupational Therapist to support students in a K-12 school setting in Fayetteville, NC. This position is a contract role for the full school year and involves providing essential therapeutic services to enhance student participation and success in educational activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students' motor skills, sensory processing, and functional abilities to develop individualized intervention plans.
- Deliver direct occupational therapy services to students with diverse needs, focusing on improving fine motor skills, sensory integration, and daily living activities.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to integrate therapy goals into classroom routines and learning objectives.
- Document student progress and maintain up-to-date records in compliance with school and regulatory standards.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to students educational planning.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapy licensure appropriate for North Carolina.
- Experience providing OT services in a school or educational setting is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with K-12 student developmental stages and school-based therapy practices.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with educators, families, and other professionals.
- Ability to manage caseloads and maintain accurate documentation.
