An opportunity is available for a Licensed Texas School Psychologist (LSSP/PSYCH) to support a K-12 school district located in Central Houston, TX. This onsite, full-time contract position runs through the current school year, ending June 4, 2026, and offers a chance to apply specialized skills in a dynamic educational environment.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid and active Texas LSSP or Psychologist license required; submission of a license screenshot is mandatory with application
- Previous school-based experience strongly preferred, including conducting psychological evaluations, behavior support, and consultation within K-12 settings
- Familiarity working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder and behavioral challenges advantageous
- Reliable transportation and willingness to commute to Central Houston campuses
- Ability to complete district fingerprinting and onboarding procedures promptly upon hire
- No VOCO (Vocational Rehabilitation Services) candidates considered for this role
Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive psychological evaluations to assess student needs
- Provide behavior support strategies and intervention plans in collaboration with staff and families
- Consult with teachers, administrators, and parents regarding best practices to support students academic and social-emotional development
- Maintain detailed records and comply with all district policies and confidentiality standards
