Support middle school students as an Onsite Guidance Counselor during a maternity leave contract from January 12, 2026, to June 5, 2026. This full-time position involves working Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, with a 37.5-hour workweek in Anoka, MN. The role focuses on general education counseling at the middle school level, assisting students in their academic, social, and emotional development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide guidance and counseling to middle school students to support their academic progress and personal growth
- Develop and implement individualized support plans for students facing challenges
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to address student needs
- Conduct group counseling sessions and classroom presentations on topics such as social skills, career planning, and mental health awareness
- Monitor and maintain accurate records of student progress and interventions
- Assist with crisis intervention as necessary, ensuring student safety and well-being
Preferred Qualifications:
- Valid license for General Education School Counseling
- Experience working with middle school populations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage a caseload efficiently within a school environment
