A full-time, onsite Occupational Therapist is needed for a K-12 school setting in West Point, GA, serving the Muscogee County School District. This contract position spans a full semester, from January 1st, 2026, to May 21st, 2026, providing therapeutic support to students across multiple school locations near Columbus, GA. The caseload will be determined based on the therapists experience, preferences, and district needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive occupational therapy services to K-12 students in a school environment
- Collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Assess student needs, create treatment plans, and document progress
- Provide interventions that address fine motor skills, sensory processing, and functional independence within the school context
- Adapt therapeutic approaches to meet the diverse needs of the student population
Qualifications:
- Active Georgia Occupational Therapy license is required
- Minimum of one year of clinical experience in occupational therapy, preferably working with pediatric populations
- Ability to work full-time during the contract period (37.5 hours per week)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills within a multidisciplinary school team
- COTA candidates may be considered depending on their experience and suitability
