This full-time occupational therapy role within a K-12 school setting in Bessemer, AL, supports students aged 3-21 across multiple schools. As an itinerant therapist, you will work with 4-5 schools, managing a caseload of 40-60 students. This contract position spans the current school year and requires a commitment of 37.5 hours per week.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing occupational therapy services tailored to individual student needs.
- Collaborating with educators and families to support student development and academic success.
- Conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and documenting progress.
- Traveling between assigned schools to deliver itinerant therapy services.
Qualifications:
- Must hold an active Occupational Therapist (OT) license in Alabama.
- Experience working in school-based settings, preferably serving K-12 students.
- Ability to manage caseload effectively and provide personalized support.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
