Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A K-12 educational opportunity is available in Bessemer, AL, for licensed Speech-Language Pathologists to provide services during the 20252026 school year. This contract role involves delivering comprehensive speech and language evaluations and direct intervention services within a vibrant school setting.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting speech and language evaluations for K-12 students
- Providing direct therapy services to address various communication disorders
- Managing individual caseloads effectively and maintaining detailed documentation
- Supervising Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) to support service delivery
- Collaborating with educators and other professionals to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
Qualifications and experience desired:
- Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) licensure for Alabama
- State teaching certification required for Alabama public schools
- Experience working in a school setting preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills to manage caseload and supervise assistants
- Will consider highly skilled Speech-Language Pathology Assistants for select positions
This position requires onsite work at the school location with a weekly commitment of approximately 37.5 hours, aligned with the academic calendar from August 1, 2025, through May 22, 2026.
