Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A position is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide essential services within a K-12 educational setting in Birmingham, AL. This contract role spans the 2025-2026 school year and offers the opportunity to contribute directly to student communication development and language needs.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting comprehensive speech and language evaluations
- Delivering direct therapy services to K-12 students
- Managing individual caseloads effectively
- Supervising Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs)
- Maintaining accurate documentation and case management records
Qualifications:
- Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) licensure for Alabama
- Required Alabama teaching certification for K-12 education
- Experience working with school-age students in Speech-Language Pathology
- Strong organizational skills and ability to oversee and support SLPAs
- Commitment to delivering high-quality, evidence-based interventions
Position Details:
- Location: Onsite in Birmingham, AL
- Work Schedule: 37.5 hours per week during the school year (August 1, 2025 May 22, 2026)
- Number of Openings: 3-4 positions available
- Caseload: Evaluation, direct therapy, case management, and supervision duties
