Physical Therapist (PT) Job Duties

Evaluate and assess students physical and functional abilities within the school setting

Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to support student participation and success

Provide direct and consultative therapy services to students

Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to achieve student goals

Monitor and document student progress, adjusting interventions as needed

Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal requirements
Federal and State Requirements

Doctorate or Masters degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program

Current Alabama PT license required

Knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, FERPA, and other applicable education laws

Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Fingerprinting and background clearance as required by Alabama school districts
