Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist position is available in a K-12 school setting located in Humble, TX. This contract role spans the current school year and involves managing a specialized caseload within a larger student population.
Responsibilities include serving as the case manager for approximately 30 speech-only students out of 160 total students currently on the caseload. The primary focus will be conducting evaluations and leading Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings with the goal of assessing student progress and determining readiness for dismissal from speech services. Therapy sessions will be handled by the SLP Assistant, allowing the SLP to concentrate on assessment and case management aspects of the role.
Ideal candidates will:
- Hold active Texas licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist, with eligibility to provide VOCO services
- Possess strong skills in school-based speech-language pathology, including experience with evaluations, ARDs, and managing complex caseloads
- Demonstrate resilience and dedication to working within a challenging caseload environment
- Have certification as an SLP-CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) preferred
