This contract position offers a full-time role as a licensed Texas School Psychologist serving K-12 students in a central Houston school district. The assignment runs through June 4, 2026, providing a stable and rewarding opportunity to apply professional skills in a dynamic educational setting.
Key qualifications and experience include:
Valid and active Texas Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP) or Psychologist (PSYCH) certification (submission of license screenshot required)
Previous school-based psychology experience supporting diverse student populations
Proficiency in conducting comprehensive psychological evaluations, behavior assessments, and developing evidence-based intervention plans
Strong communication and consultation skills with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
Familiarity with supporting students with autism spectrum disorders and behavioral challenges is highly desirable
Responsibilities of this onsite role involve:
- Administering formal assessments to identify students psychological, cognitive, and emotional needs
- Collaborating with school staff and families to develop individualized support strategies
- Providing behavior support consultations and crisis intervention as needed
- Participating in multidisciplinary meetings to ensure compliance with educational regulations and best practices
Location: Central Houston, Texas, within a vibrant K-12 school community. Candidates must have reliable transportation and no scheduling conflicts, as this is a full-time onsite position requiring 37.5 hours per week. Please note, part-time applicants and those without the required Texas licensure will not be considered.
This role includes a virtual interview process via Microsoft Teams lasting 1530 minutes for qualified candidates. Fingerprinting clearance through the school district is required shortly after hire.
