A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in Houston, TX, for maternity leave coverage at an elementary school. This position involves supporting a caseload of approximately 100 students, with on-site work onlyremote options are not available.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language evaluations, therapy, and intervention services to students.
- Supervise a bilingual SLP Assistant who supports the caseload three days per week.
- Attend special education Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings that are speech impairment (SI) only.
- Collaborate with educators and families to develop and implement individualized plans tailored to students needs.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current State Licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Experience working in school settings with elementary-aged children.
- Ability to supervise and support paraprofessional staff.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Commitment to working onsite full time during the contract period.
