A full-time, in-person school psychologist position is available within a K-12 school setting located in Shawnee, KS. This contract role offers a professional opportunity to support students with diverse needs, focusing on those with intense disabilities, including non-communication, physical impairments, and students utilizing assistive technology devices for communication. The position requires expertise in conducting comprehensive assessments tailored to these specialized populations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological evaluations and assessments for students across K-12 grades, emphasizing those with significant disabilities.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Provide data-driven recommendations to support student learning and development.
- Monitor and document student progress and adapt strategies as necessary.
- Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations concerning student psychological services.
Qualifications:
- Active Kansas state licensure as a School Psychologist.
- Experience working with students who have intense disabilities, including those who are non-verbal or use assistive communication devices.
- Strong knowledge of psychological testing procedures and interpretation.
- Ability to work effectively in an educational environment within a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
