An opportunity is available for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support K-12 students within a school district in Philipsburg, PA. This full-semester contract position offers the chance to work primarily with an elementary population across one or two district buildings under the oversight of the district's Occupational Therapy Supervisor (OCR).
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to K-12 students with varied needs, focusing primarily on elementary-aged children.
- Collaborate with educators and therapists to develop and implement individualized therapy plans.
- Maintain accurate documentation of services and student progress.
- Follow district and state guidelines to ensure compliance with therapy standards.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive school environment.
Desired Qualifications:
- Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
- Experience working within a school setting preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with staff and students.
- Ability to manage time efficiently during 5 to 6 hour school days, Monday through Friday.
- Commitment to student-centered therapeutic approaches.
Location and Duration:
