Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Provide occupational therapy services in an elementary school setting, supporting students in grades K-6 with evaluations and ongoing interventions. This contract role offers the opportunity to impact the developmental and educational progress of young learners by addressing their sensory, motor, and functional needs.
Location: Ann Arbor, MI
Setting: Elementary school environment
Duration: Contract position for the current school year (CSY)
Schedule: Approximately one day per week, with flexibility between half to full days
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive OT evaluations for students identified as needing support
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on evaluation findings
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and school staff to integrate therapy goals within the school curriculum
- Monitor student progress and adjust therapeutic approaches accordingly
- Provide consultation and training to staff to support student success
Qualifications and Experience:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist with experience in pediatric and school-based settings
- Familiarity with educational guidelines for OT services, including Individualized Education Plans (IEP)
- Strong communication skills to work effectively with students, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to manage caseload efficiently within limited weekly hours
