A K-12 educational setting in Aurora, IL, is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to provide specialized support throughout the current school year. This contract position offers the opportunity to work directly with students across all grade levels, helping to identify, assess, and treat speech and language disorders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language evaluations to identify students communication needs
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results
- Deliver direct therapy services to students to improve speech, language, and communication skills
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and educational staff to support student progress
- Maintain detailed records and documentation in accordance with school policies and state regulations
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to individualized education program (IEP) development
Qualifications:
- Current certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
- Valid licensure to practice as an SLP in Illinois
- Experience working in a school-based setting preferred
- Strong knowledge of K-12 curriculum and developmental milestones
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage caseloads effectively and coordinate with educational teams
