A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available in a K-12 school located in Denton, TX. This contract role runs from ASAP through 5/22/2025 and offers a consistent 40-hour workweek. The position focuses on providing speech and language services to students at the elementary level, with specific placement at Paloma Creek Elementary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy to K-12 students following individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of therapy sessions and student progress
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of intervention plans
- Follow all state and district regulations regarding speech-language pathology services
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license required; no Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) or Clinical Fellows (CFs) will be considered
- Experience working in school settings with a caseload similar to K-12 students preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students and staff
- Ability to manage a caseload efficiently while maintaining quality therapy services
Work Schedule and Environment:
- Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
- Onsite presence required four days per week with the option to work from home one day per week
- Position located in Denton, TX within a supportive school district setting
