A full-semester contract opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) at an elementary school in Austin, TX. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact working with a diverse student population, including those in speech-only therapy, resource/inclusion settings, autism support, and specialized social skills programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language evaluation, intervention, and progress monitoring for a caseload of approximately 45-50 students.
- Serve students with speech and language needs in various settings, such as resource/inclusion classrooms, specialized social skills groups, and autism programs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with district policies and state regulations.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive, student-centered learning environment.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Texas State licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Experience working in school settings preferred, including knowledge of diverse speech and language disorders.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, staff, and families.
- Ability to manage a caseload and maintain detailed records.
Location and Schedule:
- Position located in an elementary school in the eastern portion of Austin, TX.
- Full-time hours, contract duration from January start through May 21st.
