Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity is available for an Occupational Therapist (OT) focused on serving K-12 students at two campuses located in Beaufort, SC. This contract position operates for the current school year, from January through June, providing 37.5 hours per week of direct service to elementary and middle school students.
Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, and implement occupational therapy services tailored to student needs within a school setting.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to foster student development and inclusion.
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with school and district guidelines.
- Support students functional participation in academic and daily activities.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings to contribute clinical insights and set achievable goals.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist with experience working in school settings.
- Strong understanding of pediatric developmental milestones and school-based therapy practices.
- Ability to manage caseload effectively within a K-12 educational environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to enhancing students educational experience through therapeutic support.
