Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity is ideal for an experienced Occupational Therapist with a passion for supporting students in a school environment. Based in Chicopee, MA, this role involves traveling to various school locations to deliver specialized therapeutic services aimed at improving student outcomes and fostering independence.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting assessments to identify students needs and developing individualized treatment plans
- Implementing interventions to support fine motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living activities
- Collaborating with educators, parents, and other professionals to create a comprehensive support network for students
- Maintaining accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with school guidelines
- Participating in team meetings and contributing to the development of school-wide strategies for student success
Qualifications and desired experience:
- Current Occupational Therapy license in Massachusetts (or eligibility to obtain)
- Experience working with pediatric populations in a school setting preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to interact effectively with students, families, and school staff
- Ability and willingness to travel to multiple school sites within the region
- Commitment to supporting students educational and developmental goals
