A K-12 school in Chicopee, MA is seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist (OT) to support students throughout the academic year. This contract position offers the opportunity to provide specialized therapeutic services in a school setting, helping students enhance their functional abilities and succeed academically.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting evaluations and assessments to identify students occupational therapy needs
- Developing and implementing individualized intervention plans tailored to students specific goals
- Collaborating closely with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to integrate therapy goals within the classroom environment
- Monitoring student progress and adjusting treatment plans accordingly
- Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of services provided
Desired qualifications and experience:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist with experience working in school-based settings
- Familiarity with delivering OT services to students from kindergarten through 12th grade
- Strong knowledge of educational and therapeutic strategies for a wide range of developmental and physical challenges
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team
- Ability to adapt interventions to meet the diverse needs of students
