Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity is available for a School Psychologist to provide comprehensive psychological services within a school setting located in Westfield, MA. This role involves traveling between schools to support diverse student populations by assessing, evaluating, and developing intervention strategies that promote academic, social, and emotional success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations to identify students' needs
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention services to students
- Assist in designing and implementing behavior management and support plans
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to student progress monitoring
- Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with legal and ethical standards
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field
- Valid state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
- Experience in school-based psychological assessment and intervention
- Strong knowledge of special education laws and practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with students, families, and school staff
- Flexibility and willingness to travel between multiple school locations
