This opportunity is for a skilled Occupational Therapist to support students in a school setting located in Warwick, RI. The role involves providing therapeutic services to help children develop and improve their functional abilities within the educational environment, promoting independence and academic success. This position includes travel between schools within the designated district, requiring flexibility and a commitment to adaptable scheduling.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students physical, sensory, and cognitive abilities to identify needs.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on evaluations.
- Implement therapy sessions designed to enhance students fine motor skills, sensory processing, and overall participation in school activities.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student progress.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of therapy sessions, progress notes, and reports.
- Travel between assigned schools within the district as required.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist with appropriate state certification.
- Experience working in school-based settings preferred.
