Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity is for a Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support K-12 students within a public school district in the Oviedo and Sanford areas of Florida. The position is contract-based with an anticipated start date ASAP through May 29, 2026. Both full-time and part-time roles are available across elementary, middle, and high school settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language support and therapy services to students from kindergarten through 12th grade
- Collaborate with educational staff and licensed speech-language pathologists to implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Document student progress and communicate effectively with teachers and families
- Assist with caseloads spanning between one and three schools, depending on role assignment
Qualifications:
- Possession of a valid Florida State License for Speech Language Pathology Assistant
- SLP-CCC certification through ASHA or working under supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
- Bachelors degree or relevant credential in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
- Previous experience in school-based settings preferred but new graduates are encouraged to apply
