This contract position runs through the current school year, with assignments located across multiple schools including high schools, middle schools, and elementary schools in surrounding areas such as Oviedo and Sanford. The role offers a mix of full-time and part-time positions to accommodate different caseloads.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy services to K-12 students under the supervision of licensed speech-language pathologists.
- Support individualized education plans (IEPs) by implementing therapy strategies and documenting student progress.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support student communication goals.
- Maintain compliance with state licensure requirements and school policies.
Qualifications:
- Florida State License as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant.
- Holds or is working toward SLP-CCC certification through ASHA.
- Masters degree in Speech Pathology, Communication Science Disorders, or a related field.
- Experience working in school settings is preferred.
- Availability for on-site work with potential hybrid schedule based on school needs.
- Ability to manage caseloads varying from one to three schools depending on full-time or part-time status.
