Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
We are seeking a skilled School Psychologist to support K-12 students in a dynamic educational setting located in Willimantic, CT. This contract position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on student achievement and well-being across the academic school year.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments of students to identify learning, behavioral, and emotional needs
- Develop and implement individualized intervention plans in collaboration with educators, parents, and other specialists
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention to support students' social-emotional health
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and recommend accommodations
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and policies
- Deliver professional development and consultation services to staff on best practices for supporting diverse learners
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field
- Valid state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
- Demonstrated ability to assess and support students from kindergarten through 12th grade
- Strong knowledge of educational laws, assessment protocols, and intervention strategies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, families, and school personnel
- Experience in conducting psychological evaluations and delivering counseling services in school settings
