Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Provide speech-language support for students in grades K-5 in a K-12 school setting located in Semmes, AL. This contract position spans from March 2025 to May 29, 2026, requiring 35 hours per week onsite at a single school location.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language pathology assistance under the supervision of a licensed speech-language pathologist.
- Utilize evidence-based strategies to support communication development in early childhood education.
- Document student progress and collaborate with teachers and staff to adapt interventions.
- Maintain compliance with all state and district regulations pertaining to speech therapy services.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to individualized education plan (IEP) discussions as needed.
Qualifications:
- Registration with the Board of Speech Examiners is mandatory.
- An Alabama Department of Education speech-language pathology assistant license is not applicable for this contract role.
- Experience working with students from kindergarten through fifth grade is preferred.
