Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) opportunity is available supporting K-5 students in a public elementary school located in Theodore, AL. This contract role runs from March 2025 through May 29, 2026, with a full-time schedule of 35 hours per week.
Location:
- Elementary School, Theodore, Alabama
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech therapy assistance to students from kindergarten through 5th grade.
- Collaborate with licensed Speech Language Pathologists and school staff to implement therapy plans.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and treatment sessions.
- Support communication development in children with speech and language impairments.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Must be registered with the Board of Speech Examiners.
- Possession of an SLPA license from the Alabama Department of Education is not applicable for this position as it is a contract role.
- Experience working with K5 students is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work on-site and adhere to the school calendar/year.
