Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This contract position requires a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with expertise in teletherapy services for school-aged children. The role involves providing telespeech therapy and teletherapy services to students ranging from kindergarten through 12th grade.
Responsibilities include supervising a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA), observing therapy sessions, collecting and analyzing classroom data to assist with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and attending IEP meetings. The SLP will need to add the SLPA to their Texas license, which can be done by completing a required two-hour webinar if not previously supervised. Guidance on the licensing process will be provided.
Qualifications and experience desired:
- Active Texas SLP licensure from the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation
- Bilingual skills preferred for specialized roles
- Ability to supervise an SLPA in accordance with state requirements
- Experience with teletherapy or telespeech in educational settings is a plus
- ASHA Certification with hours logged is encouraged, if available
