Position Overview
Blazer Jobs is seeking fully licensed School Social Workers to support students in a Flint, MI school district for the 20252026 school year. The Social Worker will provide direct counseling, support students social-emotional and behavioral needs, and collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to ensure student success.

Qualifications

Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) required

Must have one of the following:

Full Approval or Social Worker Certificate through the Michigan Department of Education (MDE), or
-
SSW 310 credential letter from university and initiated application process with MDE
Active Michigan State Social Worker license through LARA
Previous school-based experience strongly preferred
Strong communication, counseling, and collaboration skills
Key Duties
Provide individual and group counseling to students
Assess social-emotional and behavioral needs and develop intervention strategies
Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student success
Participate in IEP and 504 meetings as required
Connect families with community resources and services
Maintain accurate and confidential documentation according to district and state guidelines
