There is a full-time contract opportunity available for an experienced Occupational Therapist (OT) in North Los Angeles, CA. Blazer Jobs is currently interviewing qualified professionals for this school-based position. This role offers the chance to work within a collaborative team environment, helping students build essential skills for academic and personal success. Previous school-based experience is highly preferred.
To be considered, applicants must meet all local and state requirements for licensure and certification in California. Candidates should possess strong communication and documentation skills, as well as a passion for supporting special education students and their families.
Responsibilities:

Assess students fine motor, sensory processing, self-care, and functional performance needs within the school setting

Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy plans aligned with IEP goals and state guidelines

Provide direct therapy services to students in individual and small group sessions

Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to integrate therapy goals into classroom routines and daily activities
-
Recommend and assist in the use of adaptive equipment and assistive technology to promote student participation

Maintain accurate documentation, progress notes, and data for IEP meetings and compliance reporting

Participate in IEP development, multidisciplinary team meetings, and professional collaboration

Provide training and consultation to staff and families on strategies to support student independence and access to the curriculum
