School-Based Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Full-time, On-site K-8 Itinerant Yuma, AZ
$32 - $37+per hour, based on experience, education, and certifications
State Requirements:
To be eligible for a school-based Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) role in Arizona, candidates must hold an active Arizona PTA license from the Arizona State Board of Physical Therapy. An Associates Degree from a CAPTE-accredited PTA program and current CPR certification are required. State-mandated background checks and fingerprint clearance are also necessary. Previous experience in pediatric or school settings is preferred.

Responsibilities:

Deliver therapy interventions based on individualized plans under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist for students in grades K-8.

Support the development of gross motor skills, strength, balance, and coordination to enhance classroom and playground participation.

Document student progress and maintain accurate therapy notes in compliance with school and state requirements.

Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and staff to integrate therapy strategies into daily routines and learning environments.

Provide input and updates for IEP meetings, supporting individualized education and therapy goals.
