Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity is available for a licensed Occupational Therapist to support an elementary school setting serving students from kindergarten through 8th grade. This full-time, onsite position offers the chance to provide critical therapy services in a school environment, contributing meaningfully to student development and educational outcomes.
Location: San Luis, AZ
Duration: Contract through the current school year (CSY)
Schedule: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations using standardized assessments alongside clinical observations to determine student needs
- Deliver both direct and indirect occupational therapy services to students across K-8
- Participate actively in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, providing expertise to eligibility and planning discussions
- Maintain thorough documentation and follow all school and state protocols for therapeutic interventions
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current Arizona State Occupational Therapy License, approved by the Arizona Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners
- National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) certification required
- IVP fingerprint clearance as mandated by state regulations
- Proven experience working with school-aged children in an educational setting preferred
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
