An elementary school-based Occupational Therapist (OT) opportunity is available in Somerton, AZ, for a full-time contract through the current school year. This K-8 itinerant role involves providing comprehensive OT services within an elementary school setting, focusing on both direct and indirect support to students.
Key Responsibilities: Conduct standardized assessments and clinical observations to evaluate student needs. Participate in IEP meetings, contributing to eligibility determinations and planning. Deliver evaluations, direct therapy sessions, and indirect services tailored to student goals. Manage a caseload of K-8 students, adapting interventions to support developmental and educational progress.
Qualifications: Current Arizona State OT License through the Arizona Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners. National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) certification. Valid IVP Fingerprint Card required. Experience providing occupational therapy services in school settings, preferably with elementary-aged students. Ability to work onsite full time (37.5 hours per week) and collaborate effectively with educators and families.
