A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available for the 2025-2026 school year in Somerton, AZ. This contract role supports a K-8 school environment, providing vital services to students within the Yuma Elementary School District. The position is onsite and designed to offer consistent, impactful therapy throughout the academic year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized speech and language therapy services to K-8 students
- Collaborate with educators and staff to create effective intervention plans
- Maintain detailed records of student progress and therapy outcomes
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to student evaluations
- Ensure compliance with state and district policies, including maintaining licensure and certifications
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Arizona SLP Licensure and Arizona Education Certification
- Credentialed as Speech-Language Pathologist with Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- IVP Fingerprint Card clearance for working within Arizona schools
- Experience working within K-8 school settings is highly preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills to manage caseload effectively
This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the educational and communicative development of students. The contract duration runs from August 4, 2025, through May 27, 2026, with a standard full-time schedule of 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
